Could not possibly be more thankful for this last year. It has been beyond an adventure, but it has been amazing! I truly wouldn't change a thing, I know that the things that this last year have entailed have grown us so much, and have established the exact foundation for our marriage that God wants.
We were so blessed with a hotel in LaJolla for the evening! We left early in the morning, drove down the beautiful California coast, walked around the cute shops, and did some SHOPPING. We rarely do this, but our birthdays are so close to our anniversary, and we both had some birthday money to spend. We had wine and cheese for dinner, and soaked up every second of beautiful San Diego. This was the first time since our honeymoon that we really just took time to rest. It was so good, we didn't check email every ten minutes, or feel trapped to our phones, it was just peaceful. On our drive home we stopped in Laguna for lunch, and had dinner at our favorite place downtown back in LA. We had so much time to reflect on all that the last year, and all we had learned. Cannot wait for all that the next years will be!
